At With Makenna, I believe no one should walk the parenting path alone. I’m the extra set of hands and the deep breath in the chaos. From birth to baby steps and through every messy room and overwhelmed moment, I show up with heart, humor, and a whole lot of love. I’m here to lighten the load, bring calm to the home, and help families move forward with confidence and ease

With Makenna was created because life is difficult, homes get messy, and no one should have to navigate it all without a village beside them.

  • Yes, but I only offer childcare for families after I have already done a service with them to continue and grow my relationship with them. My goal is to focus on becoming a postpartum doula and do childcare on the side for the families and people I have gained relationships with.

I do not exceed 4 days in 2 months under normal circumstances

  • Postpartum doulas work with the whole family and are there to teach and comfort in the 4th trimester. There should be a family member in the home/proximity at all times and time for teachable moments. Doulas provide advice, concerns, and information while nannies and sitters care for baby as their sole job.

While I do overnight care I do request at least 8 daytime hours throughout the service period to accomplish the goal to educate, inform, and nurture more than just the home and baby.

  • Working to get a certification through DONA International (Doulas of North America) requires many things including class time, readings, recorded experience and more.

I have finished my 40 hours of training and need to apply the gained knowledge to families to acquire my certification.

I would love to have you help me grow and finish this stepping stone as an entrepreneur together.

  • For both postpartum doula care and home organization this list is to support you during our time together and after. The list not only holds physical items to alleviate the stress but support groups and therapists of all kinds to help you grow more comfortably and feel less alone.

  • I have made a boundaries list in the Contact section that can help make your decision easier in knowing where I stand with needs to not only acquire my certification but feel comfortable in the space.

  • Family Organization - you will out a google form that will also give you more information about what’s to come

Postpartum Doula - there will be an initial intake form, contract, family plan and meeting

  • I take cash or go through Venmo. I will give a weekly (default Thursday) or daily invoice. I can be quite flexible and only ask for prior payments if it is over a week straight that I will need to be on call and not set times

  • If you need to cancel and cannot give at least 24 hours notice for a service that is over 3 hours then their will be a fee of a quarter of the amount you would have paid.

If I need to cancel I have backup child care workers that can possibly fill in also with 24 hours of notice. If I have to take more than a week off I will match you with a fellow doula (they will have separate contracts and fees)

Interested in working together?

Fill out this form and I will get back to you about scheduling a time to either get together or do a virtual call to learn more about one another and the services wanted.

Thank you so much for visiting my website and considering my care!
